Working co-operatively to save Mid Valley Co-Op

Dear Editor,
Things are moving in the right direction at Mid Valley Co-Op. Our members are to be congratulated for successfully keeping this store open beyond the original closure deadline. We need to continue this positive trend to ensure our future.
We have had an increase of over 13 per cent in sales in comparison to the same time last year. Member interest is high.
Attendance at our last two meetings has been excellent which is encouraging for both our advisory council and for Co-op Atlantic officials.
Our next members meeting will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 7 p.m. at the Y's Men's club. Area manager Ron Montgomery and director of operations Murray Hatchard will be attending this meeting to address any operational questions that have remained unanswered.
One recurring theme in our battle is TEAMWORK between the members, customers, staff and management, and Co-op Atlantic.
Co-op Atlantic has continued to supply our store with quality products, our staff are keeping the shelves stocked, and our members and customers are buying.
Together. we are doing our best and we see hope for the future of Mid Valley Co-op.
We believe that the Co-op way is a vital part of the local economy and our community.
Co-operatively yours,
Ivan Tompkins,
advisory council president;
Steven Clark,
interim manager,
Mid-Valley Co-op Food Market
