CNHS, WHS lose in ice play

The two local teams in the Western Conference AAA Boys High School Hockey League were dropped in key mid-week contests.

The Woodstock High School DQ Thunder will be back in Western Conference AAA Boys High School Hockey League play on Thursday in a road match against Oromocto High.

On Wednesday, the Carleton North High School Pizza Delight Stars fell to 0-6-0 on the 2008-09 campaign with a tough 7-3 home loss to CDJ of Edmundston at the Northern Carleton Civic Centre in Florenceville-Bristol.

On Thursday, the Woodstock High School DQ Thunder were dropped 8-1 on the road by Oromocto High to fall to 2-4-1 on the campaign.

CNHS will be back in action at home on Wednesday, Dec. 3 in a 7:30 p.m. home start against OHS.

Woodstock will have a return match against Oromocto on the road the following evening (Thursday, Dec. 4.)

Next home start for WHS is a Dec. 11 contest set for 7 p.m. against CNHS.
